Welcome to Southeastern New Hampshire Services. This page is intended to assist any person who is involved with drugs and or alcohol, who feels they might be having a problem related to drugs and/or alcohol, and wants to do something about it. There is also a link for those who maybe aren't sure if their drug and/or alcohol use is a problem. Click on the "Assessment" link to answer a few questions related to your current use of drugs and/or alcohol. This tool is designed to help you assess yourself to determine whether or not you might have a problem.
If you are currently in a crisis or are feeling that you may harm yourself or others, PLEASE dial your local 911 operator or go to you local hospital emergency room for immediate emergency assistance.
If you would like to pursue treatment for you drug and/or alcohol related problems, you can contact or crisis center 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The first step is to call the numbers listed on the left side of this page and complete a phone screen, this is a brief but fairly detailed interview that we use to determine if our facility is the appropriate one for your particular problem. The phone screen takes approximately a half an hour to forty five minutes to complete. After completing a phone screen, your case will be reviewed by our Executive Director to determine the next step.
Some things to consider when applying for admission:
1. If you have legal issues such as pending court cases, probation, parole, etc. we will often need to review this information to help us assess your specific needs. Often, the easiest way for us to do this is to have you sign releases giving us permission to contact the parties involved ie. your probation officer, or court. To assist you with this, our release form is available in PDF format so you can download and print from any computer equipped with a printer.
2. If you are currently under the care of a physician and are taking prescribed medication we may need to speak with your physician. Again a release would be completed and signed giving us the necessary permission to speak with your doctor.
3. As our facility is fairly small in size, we sometimes have only a limited number of beds available. This means that you may have to wait before a bed becomes available. This does not mean you shouldn't call it simply means that your bed may not be available for a few days after you call us. This can be difficult for some people, we can only hope that your patience will be well rewarded by your experience at Southeastern New Hampshire Services. As always, if during your waiting you find yourself in a crisis or start feeling that you want to harm yourself or others please call your local 911 operator or go directly to your local hospital emergency room.
